Location

Ecuador is the country with the highest number of bird species per square kilometer in the world. Here you can find one sixth of all the species in the planet. Nowadays recreational observation of birds, also known as birdwatching, is one of the most interesting challenges for tourists looking for newer and more exotic places to visit and activities to do.

Allpalluta Eco-Lodge is located in the Santa Rosa area, on the upper part of Mindo in the northwest of the province of Pichincha. Taking the Quito-Calacali-Los Bancos road, you will find an entrance on Km. 77 turn left onto a secondary road that will take you directly into this bird paradise. The Lodge is located at 2250 m (7380 ft) above sea level. After a short 1 hour and 25 minutes trip away from Quito, you will be immersed in this wildlife sanctuary.

Allpalluta Lodge is home to huge extensions of primary and secondary woodland, making it the perfect habitat for hundreds of animal and plant species.
